Meet your therapist

Hi, I’m Juli!

Hey there! I’m so glad you found your way here. We will spend the majority of our time together focused on you and your goals so it is only fair I introduce myself and tell you a little bit about the person you’ll be working so closely with. I am an LCSW (licensed clinical social worker). I went to college at TWU and earned my masters at UTA, followed by 3,000 hours of clinical supervision. I am a wife and a mother and enjoy spending my spare time in the mountains with much cooler temperatures! My child is adopted and I deal with a chronic illness, both of these help me empathize with clients who walk similar paths. My career journey to becoming a therapist has been filled with experiences that have shaped me along the way, providing me with diverse exposure to many different populations. I began my career as a forensic interviewer at the Children’s Advocacy Center where I worked with children, and their families, who were victims of sexual and severe physical abuse. After that I worked at Early Childhood Intervention where I served children who had developmental concerns. Following that I made my way in to acute medical healthcare, where I spent the majority of my career, working in various positions (with people from all ages, backgrounds and situations) including a medical social worker, a director of case management/social work, and a therapy provider for employees, first responders and community members. After my time there I transitioned in to public education where I served as the district social worker for PK-12 and have since opened a private practice, which is where we find each other now : ) Now, I know what you’re thinking… I don’t look that old… (just kidding!) I think you’ll find I use humor in my practice as well as in my every day life, it makes the hard stuff a little more bearable! I have been told that I’m best described as “assertively kind”, meaning I won’t shy away from challenging your maladaptive thought processes but in a really kind way. I look forward to getting to know you and working to help you be the best version of yourself!
